Ways of Flea Control
Pets are very much
prone to dermatological infections like fleas
and ticks and they can easily transmit these
diseases to humans also. Therefore it becomes

to your pets and find out ways of flea control.
Various species of fleas like dog fleas, cat
fleas, rat fleas and human fleas live on the
host’s body, suck off its blood and
gradually lead to anaemia. Flea bites are
normally seen on the back portion of the pet,
near the tail area. These appear as red spots,
which may cause excessive itching, irritation,
swelling, pain and inflammation in the pet,
and it obviously tend to bite and lick the
affected area, which leads to further infection.
Flea infestation becomes high during the month
of monsoon. Therefore take extra care of your
home, swimming pools and garden during this
season as fleas are most active in such weather
conditions. Keep the garden clean and well
pruned. This will help you in maintaining
as well as keeping away from fleas.
In order to find out whether your pet is infested
by flea or not, lay it on a light colour sheet,
and with the use of a flea comb, gently brush
over its body. Fleas will automatically drop
on the sheet, which means that these pesky
creatures have already invaded your lovely
pet. Some of the home remedies for fleas are
to use acetyl cholinesterase inhibitors which
give instant relief to the pet. Keep your
pet dry because fleas are normally seen in
damp places. Also make use of anti flea powders
and shampoos, and regularly vacuum the house
and clean it properly.
The use of acetyl cholinesterase inhibitors
gives instant relief to the pet. If proper
care is not taken on time, they can lead to
excessive health loss to the pet. Before vacuuming
the house, you should sprinkle borax powder
on the carpet and leave it for some time,
this will kill the fleas and their eggs on
it. With the use of a vacuum cleaner, you
can easily remove the fleas from your home.
You need to regularly wash all the fabrics
in the house including carpets, curtains,
rugs, sofa covers and beddings which are frequently
contacted by the infested pet. Getting rid
of fleas is not an easy task, it needs determination
and quite a lot of your time and efforts but
ultimately you will feel secured to make your
home and your pet fleas free.
