Treatment of flea bites on humans
Fleas are parasitic
insects that prey upon warm blooded mammals.
Flea bite on humans leads to skin rashes swollen
welts as a result of flea bite. These are
dark colored wingless insects that are agile
and active during darkness. Flea prey usually
involves pets as they are easy catch for fleas.
Incase your pet is facing flea infestation,
you can notice skin rashes and weakness that
often leads to sickness. Fleas travel from
pets to humans easily as they jump from one
prey to another.
However, if you facing similar conditions,
then you are facing the troublesome problem
of flee bite. Flea normally attacks on ankles
and legs. Incase you have flea bite, keep
the area clean and wash the bite with an antiseptic
lotion. Do not use warm water as it will increase
the tingling sensation. Cold water will provide
relief where it reduces swelling. Do not scratch
the welts and rashes as it can aggravate the
wounds. You can apply inflammation cream that
helps in reducing the rashes and itching.
The best you can do to reduce the burning
sensation is to apply cold packs. You can
apply anti itch cream; however, if the skin
redness does not go and you face watery discharge
from welts, you should visit a doctor and
get a course of antibiotic as early as possible.
However, if you want your home and surroundings
to be free from flea infestation, you can
use pesticides and chemicals in order to treat
fleas. This helps in killing fleas in an easy
way. However, prolonged use of harmful chemicals
can lead to health hazards. Therefore, make
sure you use other handy ways of dealing with
flea infestation. You can use the alternative
of borax powder that is a comparatively safe
way of killings fleas.
While using borax powder, keep out your children
and pets from home as borax is hazardous compound.
Spread the powder evenly in your home and
leave it for an hour or so. This helps the
powder in settling down and killing all fleas.
Once the borax powder has done its work, use
vacuum cleaner and remove all the fleas in
an easy way. Dispose off the dead fleas and
the borax residual so that it does not affects
others. Incase your garden area is flea infested;
you should prune the garden and sprinkle borax
powder on strategic areas so as to avoid its
contact with your pet.
